Non-Members Access to Comments
Blogit Staff,
I am sure you are already aware that there are some of us/ most of us on Blogit that would like to eliminate access of the main comments page and the individual comment pages to non-members. Apparently there is currently some problems with banned members getting access to another bloggers comments and is starting some trouble. Individually, I do not like my family and friends to have access to my blog. My husband opened up his big mouth to some of our friends about my blog and now they have access to all my comments. I don't like that. Maybe you would consider taking a vote? I would go along what the majority decided.
Thank You.
Suggestions
I recently made two posts outlining suggestions for improvements to Blogit. The links to the posts, and comment areas are provided below.
http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/blkblog/349900
http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/blkblog/350700
The three main suggestions follow:
- Only paying members should be able to read the comment area. The comments are one of the most entertaining areas here. Why not make ex-members pay to keep tabs on us? It would also increase the exclusive nature of the Blogit experience. We don't enjoy being spied upon.
- Add an area for "Comments Left." Right now, we can click on the "New Comment" area to see the comments in our own blogs, but there's no way to track down the comments we've left for others. It would be much easier to find a response to our comment if we didn't have to reclick blogs or search our names to find replies. For those that use Ebay, I'd liken it to their Feedback Left area.
- Add a Search feature for our own blogs. Right now, we can either search the whole database, or not at all. An "Advanced Search" feature would be helpful or at least allow us to search our own data separately.
Are any of these items already on Blogit's todo list? Will they be in the future?
Thanks.
