Dear Blogitstaff member,

Perhaps the answer to my question is available else where, but plz, answer to me again here, as I don't have time to search for it in another place. I want to pay the monthly administration fee via my e-card.  Would it be possible that you take fom my card only the amount of dollars which, added to my monthly earnings, would  complete the monthly administration fee?  If yes, what are the steps  I must take?

     I must say that you handled that / me very well, with courtesy and prosseionalism, and that you have completly, thoroughly, and utterly defused me.      And I would like to apologize for any unintended harm / foul, on my part, to the 'Blogit' Staff and 'Mr Mountaindude'.  I do get VERY full of myself sometimes, it is a quality trait that I am currently working on trying to overcome. ( In everything except my writing)

I am having trouble adding a clickable link to my blogs.  I've looked at the instructions and have followed them but it doesn't work.  What am I missing?  Thanks!

How come breaking news and whatever just jumped onto my screen

Interupting what I was doing along with my train of thought. at about 7:47 PM  And can you prevent it from happening in the future.  I watch CNN if I want breaking news. 

And someone should tell Mountain Climber whatever he writes really BIG .

So rankings are computed weekly? ( majroj )

That might explain the disparity between the "My Profile" ranking (271) and the ranking of someone else in that covetted spot when I go to the home page, open the "Everything Else" category, then list them by popularity.

I'm still stuck as to how active bloggers can sometimes hav lower ratings than inactive( gone) ones? (Now THAT"s a real dash or reality!!).

question

On the rankings, how does that work, the higher the rank the more popular or the lower the score the more popular? At first i thought the higher the score, but the more people who read my blog the further down my rank goes...

I guess that the idea could have merit, so long as people don't launch

survivor-style cooperatives where they pledge to multi click the people in their crew.  I guess after you read a post, it would be nice if it were totally anonymous to reward it based on how it affected you.

Can we have a scheme where readers can reward the quality of a post?

I'd like to propose a scheme called bonus-clicking, a once-only chance to reward the quality of each new blog entry. These are extra clicks which you would award on a bar such as this:

In effect, they would be extra 'votes' towards popularity, changing the nature of rankings entirely, making it proportionally representative.  

 

'Most Recent Bonuses' (total for last post, not new one) + 'Total Bonuses' could be listed on the 'Write' page.

 

I have been writing about this idea recently and it divides bloggers. Some support it, others think it would be open to corruption and change nothing.

 

If this suggestion is unworkable, I would like to see some way of rewarding quality in addition to the comments I might leave about a post's appeal.

 

I believe that if Blogit were to create a competitive environment for 'quality' - by which I mean 'posts that satisfy' - then we would attract more writers to the site and become a larger player in the blogging world.
