Community Help

Would someone please explain to me how this blogging works?  I'm still a bit confused.  I am a writer but don't understand how this is organized, how one gets paid, or just how it all comes..or goes together.  I'm usually a little slow on the uptake here, but I've read through all the links and just don't quite understand how this works.

I think I may have missed something somewhere.   I notice lately that some comments left on my posts have, after the ‘calling card’ note, another note urging (me or them?) to ‘Report Abuse.’  Who is going to be making the abuse, and what kind of abuse?   Just call me confused.

First, I don't see the difference between leaving a symbol or these calling cards.  Each can be done equally quickly.  However, I can't put this to the test because when I click on calling cards to try and leave one, I get a list of icons and a pop up with a bunch of error messages.  What am I missing?

So, is anyone using these? The people who used to pop in at my blogs and leave a rose or a hand or some other smiley seem to have disappeared, but they aren't leaving calling cards either. I've never understood why people got so uptight about the emoticons in the comments. I was glad to know that someone at least dropped by ... and if they distracted from a discussion, I deleted them. So, I guess I'm thinking, what's the point of these calling cards, as no one seems to be using them.

Please help. Where do I see  where "items for sale" are listed. Someone kind please help!!!!!!

but what is this about 'calling cards' on some of the blogs? Also-can you please tell me-what is 'clicking'? I have been here long enough now and should know-but I don't.Many thanks--Chris.

Can someone tell me what the calling cards announcement is about. It has a place for me to access to check mine, I have none and didn't know anything about any! Help! Have a great day. Justi
