Do blogs last forever? (yeah, right)

I noticed on the homepage just now: 154,310 blogs. So how long before some of them ride off into the sunset? I went to Ariala's own personal profile page and was amazed to see only a few blogs on her page. I don't get it. Do you guys only hold blogs for a set number of days for viewing and then bury them (sorry for the funeral metaphor). After that, do you archive them? send them to our personal files to do with what we the bloggers will? what? And if 154, 310 blogs is the current number, is this the # actually accessible to viewers, who might look through literally every single category and then every blog within each category. Sorry, just trying to get a feel for what that number really is. A total number, with half the blogs in a cemetary somewhere in Blogitville, or a live and well number of pulsating Blogs currently orbiting in cyberspace. Thanks Laughlines
