Death at the door--

For most people, death is sudden, even if they have a lingering fatal disease. We are all going to die; there is no way out but through death. People live their lives as if they aren't going to die, or at least not "until I am old." I went with a close friend of mine who had to have angioplasty surgery and the nurse was taking health information and asked him if he still smoked cigarettes. He answered yes, about a pack a day. She emphatically said "you're going to die if you don't quit smoking!"... Sign in to see full entry.
