Car Inspection Woes

So my car tags expire on August 31, and I have to get my car through inspection in order to renew. If I want to renew by mail, I have to give it ten days, and I'd rather renew by mail because the line at the county clerk's office is usually about an hour long even if you get there at 7 a.m. (They...
