Infallible Signs of Spring

For me, it's Grandpa's purple iris. He had several kinds in his yard, but the ones by the back door always signify spring. When these particular iris bloomed, it meant that spring was here to stay. They are smaller than the other bearded iris, and they have an intense aroma, sometimes overpowering.... Sign in to see full entry.
