Palm Sunday!

We officially started Holy Week today with the re-enactment of Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem. The photo above was taken just before the beginning of the afternoon mass. The "palms" are blessed in Church and brought home as a reminder of the Lord's entrance into Jerusalem. When the Easter season is... Sign in to see full entry.

Out of the Hole

These were photos from last week's Feast of the Anunciation service held at the most depressed area of our parish. I have been celebrating Mass with the squatters of Maligaya once a month since July last year, and we have been growing since then. We celebrate the mass in an empty lot by the... Something Solid On Which To Stand

As I was writing about Psalm 118:22 about the stone rejected by the builders but now has become the cornerstone, I asked myself what possible catechetical value it can have. Friday Night Out: Talking About Paralysis and Forgiveness

Tonight I started a new bible study session in the Sto. Niño chapel of Adelina subdivision. The bible study was announced only this week following an informal conversation I had with some of the parishioners there last Monday. Eleven persons came and given the short notice it was more than I... Sign in to see full entry.

Images From Work

Last Sunday, I had to oversee the planning of one of our parish groups. The session took four hours and we found out that we have to supplement the meeting with four hours more. We will have that next Saturday. Here are some images from last Sunday's session. Sign in to see full entry.

Combining Bible Study and Prayer

For two Sundays now, I have been experimenting with the Bible Team Ministry of our parish. Instead of the following the usual steps in Bible Sharing, we added a "section" on prayer. Normally, we follow the following steps: One reads the text aloud with the others listening; Everyone reads their... Sign in to see full entry.

Are You Wasting Your Time?

Performancing.Com's Andy Hagans has an article entitled "Top 8 Pro Blogging Time Wasters" in which he discusses 8 (actually there are only 7, the 8th is a joke) ways by which pro bloggers waste their time on trifles instead of improving their blog content. The first three time wasters he discusses... Sign in to see full entry.
