Church as Social Outlet . . .

Many staunch churchgoers spend almost every free moment with some church activity or meeting or sermon or fundraiser. Is this really leading a balanced life? I can't fault them for staying out of trouble (if they really are!), but shouldn't a life be one of variety and of intersts that are anchored... Sign in to see full entry.

Church Counseling or Not?

Many ministers and priests and rabbis provide counseling to members of their congregation. Whether it be marriage or substance abuse or family problems, they give it. I wonder if they do as good a job as a trained, licensed couneslor or therapist? If I need such help or counseling, I'd certainly go... Sign in to see full entry.
