"My Brain Is Melting" Part 2

Some people. I just don't know how they do it. It's like in Harry Potter, the History of Magic teacher that drones on and on and on and sounds like a broken vaccuum cleaner. Mr. Williams has finished with his 14 different powerpoints, and has discovered that none of us were "taking notes" or "paying... Sign in to see full entry.

Usually I look forward to English class. It's a fun class; there are only 8 of us in here and you'd never guess we were Honors students by the way we act sometimes. But right now, I'd rather be in pergatory than here. Wait, I think I am... It's about 10am, and I'm in the school computer lab,... Sign in to see full entry.

Picky Picky

In observing my family, it's easy for most people to see that we are very anal-retentive, picky people. About EVERYTHING. We have three tubes of toothpaste, a baking soda and peppermint one for me (with whitening!), some of that gooey blue crest stuff for my mother and sister, and a cute pink... Gender and Linguistics Confusion

I absolutely love it when little kids use words and phrases that hear other people use but have no clue themselves what they mean, or use them in a different context than what they should be. Take my brother Jon for example: He's four, and is absolutely starstruck by a family friend's 6-year-old,... Sign in to see full entry.

I don't know what to think of myself

Lately, I've been preparing for the SAT. You know, trying to learn and use newer, bigger words, reading novels, doing crossword puzzles, and even signing up to take a practice question from the actual test once a day on collegeboard.com, and recording how well I've done. The seniors in my english... Sign in to see full entry.

Mi maestra es muy bobo!

I hate my spanish teacher. Which is okay, because she hates me, too. Not only is she racist, but she's in denial that I will be able to muster up the intellect to pass her class for the second semester in a row. Today, she compared us to the Titanic. We're now a sinking mass or pathetic passengers... Sign in to see full entry.

Weird facts about chickens and other things

I have entirely too much time on my hands. In the last week, I've learned that... 1. The words for "dumb" and "blonde" in Spanish are the same ( rubio ). 2. The longest recorded chicken flight ever was a whopping 301ft. 3. An ostrich's eye is bigger than it's brain. 4. Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs... Sign in to see full entry.

Empty Inventory

Why is it that my family runs out of essential things the one day that we need all of them? It's Saturday, the day we have to do laundry, clean the kitchen, etc., etc. So, logically, we currently have no dryer sheets, laundry soap, dish detergent, trash bags, or paper towels. I have to make dinner... Sign in to see full entry.

Things I've learned

I've learned that there are a lot of things in life you should never underestimate. Why? Many reasons. 1. A silent toddler that is neither unconscious, asleep, or dead is rarely "being good". They're plotting something, they've already destroyed the living room behind your back, or are have set a... Sign in to see full entry.

Gouging my eyes out now...

I'm utterly and incurably convinced that the forces that be are putting all their might into making 11th grade as stressful and schizophrenic as possible. Not only am I running out of room to write down daily homework assignments in my planner, but they've tossed prom planning and fundraising,... Sign in to see full entry.
