Often people is the other word for men. So people's profit is invariably construed as men's profit, and then there are a few crumbs thrown in for women as a great favour. Somebody asked me whether there can at all be a concpt like People's profit

The question is well taken. If people work, what they will get is their dues. The profit will go to the capitalist. If people are to get more than their due for the work they put in, this can only happen in a truly co-operative set up where the profits are shared among the share-holders. But then...
