For July 26

I hate Saturdays I always have. There is so much to do and all I want to do is sleep, eat and lay in the sun. There won't be much more sun. Come October, the rains will begin. Dark and cloudy days will be all we see. So why can't I just sleep in the sun and enjoy? Sign in to see full entry.

Bleak beauty

The lush wetlands are a stark contrast to the bleak beauty of the desert grasslands. Sagebrush and rocks, dry grass and blue sky, hills and rocky cliffs unnatural lakes green marsh willow and cottonwood, the sun lakes are from another country. The tall furs and cedars crushed together with... Sign in to see full entry.

The Flag

During the sermon, the American flag, which is placed in the front of the church, unfurled and flapped in the wind. The door next to it was open, and a breeze would catch the flag and move it. I thought that it was the Spirit moving reminding me to listen. Sign in to see full entry.

Words

Words are such naked things missing are the clothing of pictures and touches. They can hurt and they can heal. The can also be misconstrued. Rarely are they completely understood. It is so much easier to hear them spoken than to see them on a blank page. Is the speaker being sarcastic or merely... Sign in to see full entry.
