A new poem, written: 5/2/7 at 10:45 EST

Aeons Grafted in eternity; That infinite line Running the marathon parallel to forever One step after another. And how do we measure Without the tape, Without notches of time, Without second hands elapsing Units of vapor That are here and then no longer More than dissipation; Without dreams... Poem: R.S.V.P

R.S.V.P. Out of the certainty That encourages upon light Given freely by stars- A sort of stellar grace: Waiting gently for recipients to open The envelope, to read their names written Embossed a heavenly body With a title better than moon, in a book of life With rings of rainbow, with a place... Poem: The only thing forbidden...can you guess what it is?

The only thing forbidden Find the apple bitten with no worm burgeoning past the cavity, centered green as fruit. The stem holds its attachment unplucked by any hand. The leaf falls alone finishing its task remaining aesthetic at all costs. The tree deserves more credit than it ever gets. Shadows... Sign in to see full entry.

Listen, new poem for my wife on our 1st Anniversary

Listen (for Stephanie A. Brown on our 1st Wedding Anniversary,May 3, 2007) My interest in you is vested Twinkle in the propensity of stars;Moonlit night quartered for the nudity of nocturnal eyes; Clouds hovering overhead- the only way rain knows how to tease; Every swaying willow leaning to hear me... Remembering, "Night" by Elie Wiesel

What should become of the silent ashes of a man? His life in convoy only destined to disband. Charred Ashes, fragmented memories beautifully enduring in my urn. I am comforted knowing IN CHRIST I will see her again. So here is a short poem... Sign in to see full entry.

This is another favorite

A prelude You simply walk in. The fit is tailored to the perfection I script in a dream. I am attracted to the mentality of your soul. I think of things that belong together: The dusk before the dawn arrives -it wants to be a prelude too. Michael D. Brown Sign in to see full entry.

Do you agree? This poem is titled, "Angels" What do you think?

Angels They have always been with us,well mannered meek, quite like voice in silent film. If they did speak it would be in the aorist tense prophesying music and didactic verse. Michael D. Brown Sign in to see full entry.

Sophia...new poem written today...4/26/07

Sophia(Greek, wisdom) Chisel words from iron thoughts from feathered pens that ink and spill words onto the page onto the lesson that I am supposed to learn when I spurn the wisdom of the ages when I neglect the truth in splendor or in rags too simple for the complication of my intellect, too... Sports(poem)

Sports We admire our naked bodies like Olympic gold medals. We examine both sides carefully. We flip over heads or tails. We win either way. We have never lost an event. We are first in every heat. We break our own records for endurance. We represent our respective countries very well Michael D.... Sign in to see full entry.
