The Lambs of London
I just finished reading this very short book (about 200 pages) called The Lambs of London, by Peter Ackroyd. He's the one who wrote Shakespeare:A Biography (a book I liked), and this book is on the same topic. The story is that of Charles and Mary Lamb, authors of Shakespeare for Children, and the major literary hoax that was played upon London by William Henry Ireland, son of a bookseller, in 1794-6.
