Pumpkin Parade and Virginia Beach

If you dig way back into my blog, you'll find an article on Pumpkin Parade, one of Randolph-Macon's traditions. I would have given you a link to it, but I'm not that advanced of a blogger yet. Don't worry, I'll learn. Anyway, I'm a senior this year, and participating in it. I filled out the questionnaire for my secret sophomore, and then on Wednesday night I heard back from her! Alumnae Achievement Awards, ctd.

I also wanted to add another item about the Alumnae Achievement Awards that I really liked. At dinner I was seated with two other current students, an alum from the class of 2004, two from the class of 2003, two from the class of 1981, one from the class of 1956, and another from the class of 1951. The women who graduated in 1981 are celebrating their 25th reunion next spring, and the alumna from 1956 will be celebrating her 50th. I thought it was very interesting to notive how women from... My first piece of writing for the Alumnae Office!

I always have trouble remembering to keep my journal for my internship. Last Saturday night I attended the Alumnae Achievement Awards. Here is the piece I wrote for the Alumnae website news section. The 2005 Alumnae Achievement Awards were held on Saturday September 17 th. The recipients of the award were Susan Kelley Blue-Zeig, class of 1966; Kathy Morland Hammitt, class of 1974; and Virginia “Ginger” Hill Worden, class of 1969.
