GOD IS NEVER LATE WITH THE RIGHT MATE

You were in my heart Who knew it was you Why were you taken Until He was ready God sends along The person He wants To fill your happiness But in His time Always in a hurry Find a lover Try them for size A fog fills our eyes You give away parts And pieces of your heart To this one and that one Little left for the right one Sign in to see full entry.

I WAS GUILTY BUT I AM NOT GUILTY IT IS A MATTER OF TENSE

Back there Yes I see it Could I see out here When I was back there No Now it hurts Why I put pen to paper Your face or even your Face comes across the Pages of my mind I cry Why can’t we turn to the Back of the book of our lives That's the wrong book He gave us a book for all to follow We each come with an instruction book Before I could even read it had a plan I didn’t know and I made a real Mess of things before I pleaded From a contrite heart asking for A fresh new beginning He doesn’t want... IT HAPPENED EVEN BEFORE I WAS BORN

THE TRINITY AT WORK Once upon a time We all know that was Longer than anyone can Remember or likely count Stuff went on then, lots of it God created the Heavens and the Earth Lucifer led an uprising took a third of The Angels and marched against God God threw the lot of them out Down to earth he tossed them They were still ugly and corrupt They made all they touched evil God is powerful He switched the poles Turning the world asunder, flooding it Freezing it into an ice age of longer than We... WHERE IS THE MOTHER'S GUIDEBOOK?

MOTHER WHERE ARE THE RULES? You left early, far too early I need mothering all my life Why didn’t you leave me rules I flounder in shallow waters My beautiful daughter came For our day, yesterday She left my only grandson So I could see him on my day My mother gone, my father gone My two sons gone all far to soon How am I to mother my daughter Comfort her in missing her brothers Any prospects of a large family Were foiled long ago leaving only One daughter and one grandson I flounder in shallow... CAN YOU LOVE THEM BOTH?

When Will It Heal He is dead, do you understand that? There is always an empty chair at the table There are birthdays but no balloons only lead hangs in the air And then....... There’s the day each and every year! The real day, the day you are forced to remember The day you remember in detail. There was wailing and crying And there were people, lots of people, too many people People I didn’t know, some I didn’t like There was wailing and crying He was in a box Lined with puffy satin and sporting... Hey, Lord What about this and that too?

Just Wondering, Lord! God, I need to know what day this is Life is just flying by in a big fizz On day I was a slim, sharp and trim forty five Suddenly it seems, I am a giant vacant bee hive Does all this stuff need to rhyme Or does life thrive on any sort of reason Months, days, the sheer speed of life is utter treason Don’t kill, steal or destroy my precious time I questioned all this stuff from every popular source Why am I not beautiful, healthy, wealthy and wise? I asked There were others... Sign in to see full entry.

His life is on a string now in ICU

Caleb Your namesake was a mighty man One of only two who walked through The Red Sea and lived to walk again Right into the Promised Land He was a prophet He was a warrior He was a servant He was an honest man Many know of him Many know of you Many prayed with him Many prayed for you I have known you since You were but a wee babe God has known you since Before the earth He made “For I know the plans I have For you.” says the Lord.” “They are Plans for good and not for disaster; To give you a... DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW?

I THOUGHT I KNEW, FOR SURE I thought I had it I thought it was mine I thought I knew it I even said so With that confirmation Tucked away safely in my head I went about my way Not knowing I didn’t know Tragedy struck My first born gone in a second I thought I knew Just knowing I knew It came again Death in my own brood I didn’t know I was sure I knew Beatings and pain I knew Divorce I met Poverty I was given I surely knew Love and marriage revisited Sweet as honey, sour as vinegar Infidelity... LOOK WHO'S TALKING

Words They float They fly They dance They swim Above the clouds Below the clouds Tagging the Moon Riding on Mercury’s feet In the Oceans deep In the caves dark In the Earth’s fissures In a coffee cup Forever and ever They are there Everywhere They never die Some good and sweet Some so mean and hurtful Some enlightening Some folly Some go into my memory They touch me like a sweet kiss Some go into my heart Cut me with a wound near to death johna moody 4/2007 Sign in to see full entry.

FREEDOM IS A DELICATE POWER

Delicate chains wave to and fro blown by the breath of God gently in the wind they move clink, a note, a key, a string of tones weaves into melodies; music to my heart Sunshine plays a color symphony in the little glass beads on each chain first chain is green, then yellow, on to orange then red, and blue followed by deep violet a rainbow ballet through my kitchen window A chipmunk scampers a cat in hot pursuit a Robin watches and a mocking bird sings leaves flurry and rose petals flutter to the... HE NURTURES MY SENSES

He Nurtures My Senses His cleanness fills my senses A razor making roads over His chiseled face on a frame That was and is that of the Thin-hipped King I married He nurtures my senses Beautiful sounds come to me From a six string box with lots of tales Or an old fender electric, maybe the Mandolin or the violin and he sings A full house Beatles, Lightfoot or Jars of Clay He nurtures my senses His smile puts light in my dim eyes His jet speed fingers on a mandolin Are slow and tender as he... DON'T LET THEM TAG HER TOE

I am not a poet. This is spot of compassion. It is time for me to begin another group of girls who come from anywhere on their way to somewhere. It is sad in the beginning but it is glorious in the end of their fourteen week stay. DON'T LET THEM TAG HER TOE Wrest one from the claws of the street get her before dark, for then she climbs into a shadowy hiding places waiting for a hit to get a fix… Where’s God? Everywhere. He is waiting for her heart She is afraid of Him. He sent me, and others... Sign in to see full entry.

CHURCH OR NO CHURCH

I wrote this a while back and posted it in Journal I am moving it. ARE YOU THE CHURCH I see you. I see clearly through you I see all you want me to see I see much you don’t want me to see You stand, you rack of dry parched bones You’re sandwiched between to panes of fleshly glass You’re a hanger for the big black robe You’re covered in drivel of Political Correctness They sit staring from empty eye sockets They sit listening from pre-formed minds They hunger for the food of appropriate sin They...
