Winds were fair in Israel - and our visit was terrific. From Jerusalem to the North (Lebanon boarder) to the funky Tel Aviv - we were blessed with warm sunny weather and incredible experiences. However - we landed yesterday to a Stamford, CT ripped up by wicked winds. What my friend Dara called "The... Sign in to see full entry.

My Travel Assignment, Con't
It's been over two weeks - and these lodging stays have flown by. All I can say is that at this point, I can't wait to put the breaks on eating. Salads are looking really enticing right now. It's tough to turn down a full-blown four course breakfast at a B&B, particularly if you're the only guest... Sign in to see full entry.

Yikes - It's Been 20 Days! Or Blogit Interrupted
It's nearly noon on Valentine's Day and I'm still in my PJ's in bed (ok, so Jeff bought me a nice bouquet of flowers and ENTICED me back in). Yesterday, I read the New York Times nearly cover to cover - a luxury I can enjoy only a handful of days a year. So, what exactly has been preoccupying my... Sign in to see full entry.

The Game
I live in Connecticut, but just an hour from downtown Manhattan. As such, I'm caught between Jets/Giants and Patriots territory. A couple of hours ago, I, like hundreds of thousands, if not millions of football fans in the United States, sat in front of a television and alternately ate nasty fatty... Sign in to see full entry.

Accusations of Organ Theft in Haiti; A Funny Tale
I'm inserting this post in the humor category because I just can't help but crack up at the ignorance of some people. As you may know from my other Religion blog, the little country of Israel was one of the first responders to Haiti after the earthquake, setting up two efficient field hospitals... See Front Page of Every Newspaper Around The Globe
This is one of the coolest interactive maps I've come across in a LONG time. Just click on a location anywhere in the world and you can read the front page of that area's newspaper. Direct from NewsMuseum, this certainly brings the world down to size and lets us see how other nations see us! I could... Sign in to see full entry.

Cruising to Nowhere
Last Saturday I, along with a dozen girlfriends, boarded the Norwegian Caribbean Line's Gem (nearly full 2,400 capacity) in Manhattan for a one-night "cruise to nowhere." I've been on cruises before, and don't particularly enjoy them - but this was for a friend's 50th birthday party - so spirits... Sign in to see full entry.

Jack Daniel's And Me
This part of Tennessee has at least one thing going for it: Jack Daniel's. Close to 150 year ago, Jack started running his fine brew through charcoal, storing it for an indeterminate amount of time (left to tasters) in charred oak barrels and letting it mellow until it was good enough for drinking.... A Question About Oil
It is positively, absolutely the height of yukky disgustingness outside today. Pouring rain, nearly freezing cold and grey, dark - the worst of winter. It puts me in the mood to fry something. Of course - I've got to be in that kind of mood all week, as it is our holiday of Hanukah and along with... Sign in to see full entry.

The Other El Woods
Hailing from Sweden, she's Legally Blonde, but that, and her strong resemblance to Reese Witherspoon is the only thing that the REAL El Woods has in common with her celluloid namesake. I read about Tiger's wife and Tiger's hijinks with some sympathy for the injured party, but a part of me believes... Sign in to see full entry.
