My Husband is the Devil

Today, Our family has not been to church for over a month now, and last night, Jim said he wanted to go... today. I awoke at 6:00 a.m. this morning with my 2-year-old daughter. I felt sluggish, as I usually do until I have my coffee. I also felt more than sluggish -- I don't know -- my feelings... Sign in to see full entry.

Opening Paragraphs for My First Book ... What do you think?

Today, The hospital emergency room bustled with activity at around 9 p.m. on a school weeknight. My mother and father checked me in to triage. I stood between them, my body feeling weaker and weaker, my eyelids fluttering open and closed. I could hear the faraway sound of an unrecognizable voice... Sign in to see full entry.

My First Poem

Today, I was thinking about my little girl, Devyn and her cousin Sydney, born about two weeks apart last September 18th and October 1st. Loving inspiration created the first poem I have ever written. Sydney and Devyn, Twinkle like stars in heaven. Sent from high up above, They came down for us to... Sign in to see full entry.

Lady of Leisure

Today, I am recalling the Saturday of my weekend past. I took my 3-year-old to his 4-year-old friend's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. One of the other mothers attending approached me and said, "I hear you are a 'Lady of Leisure' now." "Oh," I said, dumbstruck. "You mean by quitting my... Sign in to see full entry.

I feel FREE!

Today, I walked with a spring in my step. I feel free and happy. I am happy just thinking of never returning to my CAGE at the CPA firm. This is exactly how I have been feeling for the past decade -- like a caged animal, like a caged bird whose wings flap wildly, ready to escape....and be FREE! Fly,... Sign in to see full entry.
