Airports and idiots

This week was a doozy. I had to fly to London England for the day, yes folks, for ONE DAY. I live in Toronto so it meant a 7 hour flight on Wednesday, arriving at my hotel at 10pm local time (a 5 hour time difference). The city I live in is wonderfully multicultural. You can literally eat your way from one side of the globe to the other by strolling into different neighbourhoods. How can exhaustion be this dramatic in just two days?

Yesterday I got a call at work to say my Mom was being taken by ambulance to the hospital after a fall in the parking lot of her doctor's office.
