There is a human tendancy to believe that what we see is what is, a set of unconsidered assumptions that things are just what we see, that change is not an essential part of what we see. We look at things, we believe, and don't realize we are looking at process. So, when process asserts itself, we think there's a problem. And so there is, and it is our problem for we have built and planned and designed around things staying the same. We also have tended to measure time around our own lives and...
