Violetta has been wondering why she can't go wandering out onto the deck: doors that have been open all day, all night, all summer, are suddenly barriers to a significant piece of her home. But all day yesterday, the blustery wind tossed backwards the leaves on the maple tree, and battered at the spruce, and though they were not quite enough to send our kitty flying, they were cold!
