It's a sunny afternoon, mild and quiet. Charlie is somewhere between Nisswa, Minnesota and Denver, having had a satisfying weekend playing dress-up and Let's Pretend for adults. The great hot-air balloons downtown have been deflated and folded up and carried away in ground-bound vehicles. There's the latest crochet project beside me. Both Charlie and Vale looked at the yarn, a variegated blend of browns, reds, greys and blues, and described it as 'rustic,' neither committing to actually liking... Sign in to see full entry.
