Soup for breakfast
I am simmering some tomato basil soup this morning with a few shrimp and the last of the crab that was procured for my grandson's birthday pizza. I tossed in the last 3 inches of little zucchinis, collecting them before tonight's hard freeze (24F expected) and added some fresh basil, too. And half a lemon's juice. Soup makes an easy, quick breakfast, and can be low in carbs and fats as a 'normal' American breakfast is not. Which reminds me of a poem I wrote years ago, sitting in a Denny's......
