Travel plans!

Today I committed to a trip to DC, and will be there from the end of September to the beginning of November. Yay! Over a month in the neighborhood of both my gals, and their households! My daughter and her husband, now returned from New Zealand, will be moving into their new house a few days before I arrive, so that will be some fun. Then, I have a birthday to celebrate, and towards the end of October, will be looking after things while she and husband fly off to celebrate his grandmother's... Sign in to see full entry.

getting up early

It has its rewards. Over the long weekend, motivated by hot air balloons, I forced my eyes open and feet on the floor in the predawn half-hour, went out and collected my reward, which you can see by the latest flickr link in my Travelblogue. Today, a less adventurous reward: waking up effortlessly at 6:30, to see the morning rising, and revel in the coolth of the day, the only time I am likely to get anything done, as heat is not my friend.
