The hard work of writing....

This makes me ponder the hours and months and years that go into the making of a writer. Whatever else you do to become a writer, one must write and write and then write some more. The right word or the almost right word.

I think I gravitate toward writing shorter peices because of picking the right word. I am amazed by novels that read like poetry in that every word is the perfect word for it's spot in the story.
