I think I need a balance between aloneness to write, knowing that I am read by others, and also all the interesting interactions that life throws my way.

I think
I think what is being said here is that we need to be alone in the act of writing in order to tap into the deepest well of our own emotions and experiences. I don't believe she is saying she doesn't want to share her writing once complete just that while actually writing she needs to be completely alone. Writing in a vacume.

Yes, but
We need an audience, no? For unless we're merely journaling (and no one who posts here is, imho, "merely" journaling), we write to communicate, even if with one other. Comments let us know that someone is reading. So, here you go.
