We heard the bells,

today at Church during the elevation at Communion. This custom has been absent from my Church for 23 years. Today as a visitor in another Church I was delighted to hear the tinkle and ring sounds of good metal being embraced and struck by the clapper inside the bell. What a small experience but what... It has to be 200 percent humidity here

but that is not going to stop us. We are about to leave for a day trip to see some historic sites. We will be going along the James River. There are lots of plantations there with some being totally renovated and some in the process. The best thing about being engaged is the being with the one you... Sign in to see full entry.

400 years at Jamestown

and we are staying in nearby Williamsburg in a condo and enjoying the celebration. We will be going on Friday to the Jamestown Celebration and to see all that is to be offered. Imagine if you can, the difficulty of carving out a civilization from trees and mosquito filled terrain and humidity. The... Sign in to see full entry.

I caught myself looking around the countryside for

sightings of wild animals, cloud formations and the shadows that shape the mountains. Last evening there was a powerful moon. The stars were in competition and with the wide open spaces the night was a bit of magic. I will miss that vantage point when back in my rural East Coast. We have so many... Whew, It is time for delivery,

No, not time for birth as in pregnancy but a time to deliver the plan into action. Michael is a great planner and he has moved before it is obvious. He is able to evaluate things and let them go. I on the other hand am a saver and become very attached to things. I think I am learning patience and do... Sign in to see full entry.

Southwest to the South West

I arrived here in AZ on Saturday after a long day of travel. The weather was great for flying after a terrifically windy and rainy spell. The flowering desert is not disappointing although the rain has not come and the quantity of blooms is limited I am told. In this Single World of ours I have... Sign in to see full entry.

The daylight hours have about come to an end

and as Robert Frost said there are many stop before I reach home. (more work to do) I began with spring cleaning, picking up unwanted magazines and of all things cosmetics. I could not have imagined the the "stuff" I do not use. So I am taking a break and spending my time thinking about romantic and... Sign in to see full entry.

Sometimes in the middle of the night I hear it, the clear and

brilliant sound of the rushing train as it passes the crossing just beneath my hill. The silence is broken and for a short time I am transported to that train. I envision the sleeper cars and the dining car, the sleeping travelers and wonder "who are these people, and where are they going" also... Sign in to see full entry.

No matter how you try there is a fly in the ointment!

Did you have the experience of getting all set to drink a glass of milk and look down just to see a tiny thing crawling on the glass and do a flip flop into your milk? Then there is the time when you are planning to cross over the railroad tracks and the gate will quickly come down and all the... Sign in to see full entry.
