Oh yes I do happen to live near a railroad and every nite at 3 am I hear the whistle..I never really thought about it the way you do but I think I shall from now on..It is odd our little town is surrounded by railroad. The town sits on top of a hill and the tracks are just down the hill..I can remember after living in the FL. Keys for many years I happen to be in Ohio and the first time I heard the whistle I became very excited. Oh I do love trains...Once when I was traveling from Paris to Brussels I sat on the finest dining car..It was soooo old and you could smell it's history..I loved it. Then another time taking the rails from London to Scotland...oh the food...to die for. When I was very young 15...I first took the rail from Stubenville to NYC..Geez...your post has brought back wonderful memories...Thanks~

At present our railroad "rails" are being repaired and we are told for the next few months there will be delays in schedules.  We have two crossings in my neighborhood and when they are working at the corssings we have a lot of backed up traffic.

Hope your day is a good one.

Is there a lot of train travel on that line?

The trains of America helped to make this land and today we pretty much accept that fact but I do't think we appreciate it as we should.

What if any local products go on that line?  Do you know?
