A day in the city!

My oldest best-friend, in the sense that I know her for the longest, not that she is old!, was in town today! SO, I went to pick up Son, who had stayed at the apartment because he was bowling until 11pm last night, and we went to have lunch with her. She is really like one of my sis. We have known... First Interview: Report

I think it went well But then again, how can one know? Am I what they are looking for? Do they want a cheap Spring chicken? Or someone like me with experience, but costing more? The principal and the vice-principal who both interviewed me Were nice. The interview took more than one hour, with two... Sign in to see full entry.

First encounter of the third kind...

That's it: my first interview is today! It is for a 50% position to teach FSL to 7th and 8th graders in an English PS, or at least that's what I understood of their advertisement: it's full of abbreviation and teaching jargon! And, as I did my B.Ed in French, I don't have all the English teaching... Sign in to see full entry.

Working hard to find work!

As the many school boards of the area have started posting their openings for September, I have been applying as crazy to all the ones I think I might have a chance: everything with French or Sciences in it, from late elementary to Senior High, from the west to the east part of the city, from the... Shimmering Oceans...

We finally had some rain these last few days which is very good for the crops and my little veggy garden, but today is a gorgeous sunny day. Because of the little heat wave we did have previously in May and the fact that it was a very dry spring, the hay started flowering way too early in the season... Sign in to see full entry.

"The Job", part II

As I've mentioned to you before, I had a strange offer a couple of weekends back: the guy asked me out and...Just a joke!! Nop, he asked me to send him my CV for a possible job. The thing is that he doesn't have in mind just yet the details of the job. But he needs to find 20 to 30 good people... Sign in to see full entry.

It's good to be in a bad mood!

My Mann, who is away in Europe until Sunday next week (he was in Winnipeg before that...) sent me this link from BBC, and it made perfect sense to me: This is why the teenagers are in bad mood every friggen morning: It is necessary for them to be in such a mood so as to learn better and be more... Details, details, all is in details...

I made a few corrections to my new page about Hirschhorn, so, if you want to have a look at it now it should be a bit better! Sign in to see full entry.

Another page is born!

That's the first new page I added to my web-site since God knows when... But I think it's a nice one: It's about a little Medieval town called Hirschhorn (yep with double "h" because it is a compose word: Hirsch(deer) and Horn(antler): deer or stag's antler). I love this little town: I wish I could... Sign in to see full entry.

A strange offer...

What a strange offer I had about 10 days ago... We went to some friends of us for a diner and it was quite pleasant: good food, good wines, good company. But then, something strange happened. The hostess, who is also working with my Mann, asked me why I decided to become a high school teacher... Sign in to see full entry.
