You both are survivors. You both know and have what it takes to be writers. You both also know what it takes to be nurses and know the odds of losing people are much higher in a senior center.

Re: Corbin

Newberry is in the relative center of the UP both North/South and East/West, albeit a bit more east than west. I don't know how this map will show up when you click on it, but you can pan in or pan out to see where we are in relationship to Lakes Superior, Michigan, and Huron. We are roughly 18 miles north of Lake Michigan, 25 miles south of Lake Superior, and 40 miles West-Northwest of Lake Huron. All three influence our weather every day.

The big thing about Superior is that once you locate Newberry, pan out to see that long span of water the wind has to cross when it comes out of its typical northwest to southeast direction. The wind passes over hundreds of miles of ice cold water and then hits us. I'm not complaining, just pointing it out. Then remember that on a hot hot day at the end of the summer, the water temp of Superior is about 39 degrees.
