I have found if you move there in late October, it will still be in the mid 80 degrees, but it cools off through late February. Then as the heat builds, you get used to the heat. I like the heat, and Lisa says she could get used to it by spring.

Sounds like you may be moving before me. I have to get wiley and Kabu business settled before I can put my beloved house on the marketand who knows how long a piece of red tape is!!(hey I just made that up)

I have been to Florida once. My hubby was stationed in Jacksonville back in 1985. Florida is a great place to live for those who love that type of setting. South of Orlando, Avon Park has affordable real estate. My companies headquarters are nearby that area.
