I find it hard

I find it hard to actually take a day off and do something I like. Reading fictional work of my fav author is my thing to do on my day off.

Steady rain is wonderful to hear but storms and hurricanes not so much.

We've had 5 days of heavy rain...but it doesn't have anything to do with the Hurricane...

We're getting drenched now, the rains resulting from Isaias. I hope everybody's doing okay with it.

I love to lay on the couch out on my Screened-in front porch with a metal roof...a wonderful place to sleep when we're having a steady downpour!

A good thing to do. Hope you feel well and refreshed. Your post was very similar to my last one in Theatre of the Almost Absurd. Our internet is off and on.

Oh, that sounds like a day well spent. It was a bit like that here, too.

Except of course, for the presence of Mr. G.

Well done you managed that day well. I suppose most around your area rely on wells .

My parents did when they first married . It was costly to run pipes for fresh water.

There is nothing quite like drifting off to the sound of rain drops.

Like you, I have a water barrel with multiple dipping vessels to supply my veggies, flowers and herbs with a much needed drink when the heat is relentless. We also have enjoyed the rain for the past few days. Our yard is happier than it has been in days.
