Sir Graysome saved you from the mouse!  I bet he heard it moving around under the floor... I used to live in an old house, and could hear them gnawing in the walls... not a thing I could do about it!

by definition, luxury is not necessarily useful.

Allow me to praise your writing style and your special relationship with Mr Grey.  I can't say I envy you for him since I do not have mice nor insects, yet, I can't let go the opportunity of boasting about luxury-aristo...April (even though she was born in 29th of March, but don't blame me for her name, I got her when she was two years old, already). I can't thank God enough for puting her into my predestination, and, of course, togetherness means (for you and me, cat owners) till death does our pets and us, apart.

She is my angel as she wakes me up for the morning prayer, (which, sometimes is as soon as 3 am), brings joy to ALL my senses (yes, she is my teacher of grace, so if equilibrium is in the list of senses, now it's ticked) and cures, by the power invested in her by God, all my worries and ailments. There is only one late tomcat she does not stand a chance to compete with, and that one is Sorpress.   Maybe, one day, I shall start a new blog, FELINES, in which to tell you all about my encounters.

Thank you for posting

He is such a good boy.

You can't beat a protective best friend such as that. He is a cool cat.

T.S. Eliot has a poem about thunder but no rain. I wonder if I've still

got his book of poems on my shelf? He's the one who wrote these lines:

"I grow old, I grow old
I shall wear the bottom of my trousers rolled.
Can I walk along the beach?
Do I dare to eat a peach?"

This is from "The Love Song of Alfred J. Prufrock."

Of course there's a world of more he wrote, and it's been 40 years or so since I sat
in a poetry class with a bunch of 20-somethings who had no way to translate Eliot's
seasoned words into the fresh understanding that was their experience. But some
things seem to stick. I love your stories of Mr. G. He's a very fine and brilliant cat.

Wow! Mr. G is sooo smart! What a great kitty he is. He knew. He just knew. He’ll be tuckered our tonight. I hope your weather gets better. Here, it’s June Gloom. A little warm sun would be nice. Hope you are feeling better soon, sweet lady.
