i like your attitude about it though. These kind of misunderstandings happen from time to time. It happened to me when i used to take vocal lessons. But things tend to work out over time. Often the universe gives us unexpected blessings.

Yes I should not think it was cheap.

It does make one feel that this problem would not have arisen

when Wiley was around. Of course it is so different for you now.

Perhaps the nice weather and your flowers will provide a little happiness.

Take care and always get a receipt.

FSI, they're totally taking advantage of her!

That's a shame what happened with your neighbor. Talk about annoying and being cheated. Hopefully, that will be the end of that when you pay again.

Well if you have to pay cash, pick up a receipt book in town, and fill a page out, ask that they sign the book before you give them the cash.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! That kind of thing PMO!! My snow guy got paid a year late and actually took $100 off because of my being sick and working less. When I called him to come and pick up the balance I owed him, he asked if I was sure I would be okay - he didn't want to leave me short. For those who suggested cheques - snow cleaners here for private driveways usually want cash only. It may be a tax thingie?

That is a nice view, but your neighbor needs a knuckle sandwich.

There is nothing worse than a liar or a cheat. Your neighbor needs a can of whoop ass opened up on them.

Do you have a mediation service in the area?  Many things can be resolved by something called a phone conciliation, in which you call the mediators and ask them to call the person you're disputing with, and they act as a channel of communication to resolve the problem. It saves you having to confront the person whom you fear won't be reasonable with you, and same for them, so emotions don't get all lit up and make communication impossible. You might end up splitting the difference, which is better for both of you than having bad feelings with a neighbor.

There's one in every town - every club, every group.

Like the troublemaking witch who got fired as a volunteer at the community center a year or so ago, and how she and the others got the sarcastic nickname "kitchen angels." Seems you've got an "angel" of your own.  Sorry - but doesn't that crabby appleton make the good folks look even better?

Oh dear! Always pay with a check or money order and keep the receipt if it is a money order. Then there is no more back and forth. How awful with everything you are already going through these days.
