Around 1000, I've heard. The mailman yesterday said they were called in from deliveries at noon the day of the great snowing. I said it was a good call, considering their little square trucks!

I think the snow/rain/ice mix you get this time of the year is part of
what makes the natural beauty so strong - maybe it's necessary for the fir and pine needles, the kinds of blooming things that make the wooded areas and certain parts of city parks and odd streets so green and fresh looking. It would be a shame just to have miserable conditions for humans for no natural reason. I've seen those pics of the traffic mess. Eww, yuck.
