Yes, I would keep Wiley walking for as long as possible. That sort of independence is important to have.

Been through all of that pretty much all my life with various loved ones beginning when I was just a little kid and my aunties took turns giving total care to my Grandma Jelinek in her home. I never really knew her any other way. I never even questioned the potty sitting there beside her bed or her sitting on it.

You are a very special person....my Dad had to take care of Mom...she had a bad case Alzheimer's.
She didn't recognize me or my Brother.

I'm with you all the way on this decision to keep your sweetheart
under your own tender care for as long as possible. You know he's getting everything possible if you're there with him, and I think having him out of your sight would worry you. I think of you every time I hear the Australian weather reports - man that sounds even worse than what we're dealing with. Hot cocoa for you, and a peppermint stick to stir it with..

I agree with every decision you are making, dear. You know best, that’s for sure. I wish you didn’t have to go out in the cold. I’m out in a rainstorm right now cause I can’t stand the fumes the cleaning ladies use.
