I don't like phones, well I can't like everything. It seems everytime one rings someone wants something or wants to be sociable. Nevertheless you need them and the best is the cheapest in the long run.

I amazed at how much landline cords can really become tangled. It can be a hassle to fix...It is also amazing how the size of phones have decreased over the years.

There was a Bell wall phone just like that in a house we lived in

once, a farmhouse on a party line... Listening in on neighbors' calls was how everyone kept up with the news in those days. Geez, I really am older than dirt.

That's a neat phone you got there! Did you sort of 'borrow' that from the Bell Museum? Oh well, as long as it does the job and you don't have to shout too much to make yourself heard...

So glad you got the new phones! I'm sure you will enjoy them. I remember party lines, Princess phones (my cousin got one for her birthday), and phone numbers beginning with prefixes that we the first two letters of words! Now we don't have to remember any numbers; they are all programmed in to the phone!

I haven't seen one of those in use except on tv. I do remember the rotary dial phones with phone numbers starting with 2 letters and not all numbers like now
