People got to work their imaginations when those radio shows were on. Sadly, that is something that got lost with television.

I have never heard of a writers group, but I suppose they are around. A pity you cannot just pick the good hearted members. It would have been nice if you could have just tided up for your friend, but it seems someone always has to try to be superior and ruin the confidence of the more sensitive contributors.

This would be an interesting study in group dynamics, LOL, but of course that's not what it's about. Maybe Nola ('Lola'? LOL) really needs a different group! Then again, since you have a good handle on everything, maybe it would help if you had a friendly chat with her...

I do remember "The Great Gildersleeve." What a pleasant memory because my mum loved that show and I loved me mum. I'd never fit into a writer's group, matter of fact the only group I did fit into was AA. LOL
Now I've just read in Macleans that one psychiatrist considers the program a failure because only 7% of all the people that use that AA route are successful. Well as one of that 7% who has made it for 46 years I think that shrink should be looking at that success figure because 7% of AA members worlwide is one heck of a lot of people that got well.

She sounds like the type who would love to be queen... I mean, leader
of the Perfect Writer's Group. I'd suggest she start one.
And a blessing on you for bringing Nola back to a kinder and still truthful world!
