In short, I see God's love in the lights....flickering candle flame, sparkling tree lights, the December stars in the sky, they tell me of God's love.

You are the Light of the World...   He was talking about us.

LI respect and see the meanings and celebration in them. For myself the Christmas Story has the greatest story structure of all. And the cast made the greatest reality show in history. So I see the stories in the lights. After all, Isaiah did call Jesus a great light. And Psalms 118:27 encourages using light in services, that is, the thought and meaning’s there love. Re: Jesse_jean

And those people also make it easier for others to believe, too.

Re: Pat,

Babies can see magic we no longer notice.  When I brought Annie home from the hospital the first time--she was born on Dec 29--we sat by the tree, and her eyes went to the lights, and stayed there.

Re: TAPS,

I'm sorry for your headache... I hope going to bed and getting some good sleep has cured it!  I will be looking around your blogs.

Re: Kabu,

Yes, it is a nice way for neighbors to share, in times and places that seem so commonly found, that neighbors hardly know or speak to one another.

the lights tell me that there are people out there who do believe in the magic of Christmas. I also was enthralled by the beauty of them, while in the back seat of an old Plymouth.

Well I can't see much in the lights, but I see your little eyes alight with amazement.

Nostalgia - these lights remind me of those from so long ago.

Babies looking up in awe at a lighted tree - that's what I see.

Great post.  Good question.  I have the answer for you, but it is tucked behind some head pains and I need to go to bed.  I would like to write a post about this for my third blog that I don't post in very often....maybe tomorrow.

I'm not sure they mean

anything to me. But they sure are purty.

i love to see the efforts that people make around their homes and enjoy rugging up and in a warm car driving through town to see all the twinkling and colors. It makes the Christmas season come alive for me.
