In fact, in pawing around under the broadleaf maple youngsters, I found a big old nursery bucket with a wysteria in it, bought years ago, and putting out leaves generously, though not in a position to go twining around anything.  I wonder if I can get it in my duffle...

It is nice to plan and then try to achieve a good result. I suppose if you bought a wisteria in a good large pot if would give it a good fighting chance. There are some nice trailing begonias around usually sold as corms, they do make a good show, well I bought a few cheap and they are taking ages to grow, but it is too cold here at the moment. Your progress will be noted.
