I'd gio along with the damage...
When it was young since the top looks like it is growing straight now. Either that or its drunk!

® Some trees grow in strange patterns of growth. It belonging to the conifer family might indicate that its one that does grow unusually love. They dwarf them for bonsai in pots. Or but less likely, It might have developed its growth pattern from the direction of the sun at the crucial points of daylight. Lol. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

It is a little peculiar! I wonder if it had been somewhat uprooted by the wind when it was younger and it just ended up growing that way! sam
