I can't help but sense.....
in the words of this letter seeds of something sinister about this man that will come out in future posts......I hope he gets what he deserves.....

I agree with FSI, Tzippy - this letter said it all.

Such a heartfelt letter at that age. I remember thinking the same thing about the ugly people in my life, why couldn't God just take them away, and save the good ones? It never happened the way I'd hoped. I'm sure there is some grand plan, there, but maybe some of it's just to get strong so that if we had to whop them over the head with a frying pan, we would. Why that never happened when it counted, I don't know. Fear of premature death, I suppose. All of us so frozen from the brainwashing we'd gotten, that a little ugly, skinny coward of a man was at all powerful. He wasn't and he's not. Neither was your coward-guy. How good that you are safe from him now. You would never wish someone dead, but you might certainly wish them gone. This brought up a lot of memories, T. Good writing.

Posting what you wrote to your friend is a great way to provide us of the intense emotions you were feeling at the time...So sad it was to read of you two clashing...

I am thrilled that you fought that viscious petty tyrant and got him off of you some.  He probably liked someone rough like himself and respected you more and you might have gotten away with more with your looks.  I suppose many parents fall through the cracks when they should be jailed by child protective services.  You were good in my estimation and reacted well to him.

JR Certainly this letter was an action in another sad chapter of that part of your life love. BC-A, Bill’s  RJLst

I think writing the letter to your friend was good because it was a release on how you truly felt! It had to help! It was a horrible situation you had to grow up in! Life can be so bitter! sam

Tzippy, Anne Frank was clueless compared to this!  Lol  Teens can be so reactionary;  everything seems the entire world to them, but later they realize it was only a short time growing up.  That's the way it was for me too.  Thanks for sharing this private work.

Dear friend... Your letter shows the frustration and hurt that was in your heart then... As a little girl you went through a lot and its amazing how far you have gotten with such painful beginnings.  I hope you are in a better place now and that your mean step-father is not in your life any longer. xoxoxo
