Great Metaphysics. . .

That's great metaphysics Dave. Is the superiority of the Soul, perhaps due to its three important faculties: the Intellect, Freewill, and Memory? Arent these three faculties of the Soul waging war against the body's animal Instincts of Sight, Hearing, Smell, Touch, and Taste? Arent these Instincts so formidable in its wants and needs it has to take a God to make the Soul's faculties strong enough to resist what it perceives to be evil?

Thanks Dave. Your dessertation is fantastic. - Rotsen.

This goes way back to the two trees in the midst of the Garden - one is rooted in satan (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) and the one rooted in Jesus (the tree of life). We're all born in the one tree but have to have a "sap transplant" at some point to change our roots to those in the One who gives life not death. Your writing is very good and very thought provoking.

I agree only God can grant eternal joy! The soul is the essence of existence for me! Throw the ego away and enjoy God to the fullest measure! Very well written too! sam

Reality is just an illusion.
While our walk here on this planet will we reverse the DNA of faulty genes that have been passed for centuries untold with the love and forgiveness that fill the entirety of our Soul?  Or will the garmet we call a body override the soul and vanity forget the love that we are here to share?(skye2008 The Garmet of the Soul)

Hi Dave...Very interesting
and like lionreign I should read it again.  I do notice when I close my eyes, say while walking through the park for example, I seem to relax so much and my breathing which is always so shallow becomes relaxed and normal, like it rises from the diaphram as it should.  My eyes have been the source of much pleasure of course but they are also the source of much displeasure too.. Do you think the blind have an easier time battling the dark forces?  Thank you for broadening my views...

This is so in depth and really sent chills up my spine because are only real hope is thru Jesus which our soul is eternal with God.  Satan is so manipulative and is so controlling. only Jesus can bear our true fruit of Joy.  Look at so much terror and crime today I do believe in satan and all of it's forces.  But we have to be strong in our faith in God. Very Well said I just might have to take this word to sunday school.

this was so interesting to read. i experience an internal battle which i want to believe is my soul trying to guide me, for then one should find contentment on this beautiful earth, however my strivings are towards 'worth' as well, however one defines 'worth' - is that a pull from the dark side?it is an almighty battle!!for the devil is smiling now. thank you for the read.

It is sad to think that might be the way things are.  Just protoplasm you say... me and you and the rest of them... perhaps you are right... given a name so that they can count us... well... I 'll tell you a secret... sometimes I do feel like just a blub of matter... is those times when the soul, my soul, seems to desert me.  Sad.
