What part of "shortly come to pass" don't you understand.
Rev 1:1 "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:" The events of the Book of Revelation are not going to happen in a few years or in a few decades or a...

A reprise -- how expecting a nonexistent 2nd coming hurts the present
Bill Moyers: There is no tomorrow Bill Moyers: There is no tomorrow Published January 30, 2005 One of the biggest changes in politics in my lifetime is that the delusional is no longer marginal. It has come in from the fringe, to sit in the seat of power in the Oval Office and in Congress. For the...

THE SEVEN CHURCHES ARE ACTUALLY A PERSONAL PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE

REVELATION 6 -- THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE
Read it. This is just about the most famous passage in the Bible. One of the most recognizable. We have: Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. This is Empire -- specifically the...

666
We all know it. What is it? It is widely recognized by scholars to refer to Nero. You have to understand that Revelation was talking about things that would "shortly come to pass", as mentioned in the very first chapter. Nero is part of that scenario. If you read the book, you will really find...

THE EVENTS OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION HAPPENED 2000 YEARS AGO!
We hear from the local godbots that the End Times are imminent -- that the Book Revelation is about to be fulfilled; however, according to that same book, the events are not in our future, but the immediate future of the writer and his readers. Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave...

ANTICHRIST VERSUS THE BEAST - PT 1 (50% of people believe in a myth)
A National Geographic Channel program on the antichrist says that 50% of the U.S. believes in such. MY GOD! Half the U.S. population believes in a myth the has no supporting evidence. THERE IS NOT A WHIT OF EVIDENCE IN THE BIBLE FOR THE ANTICHRIST THAT APOCALPTIC CHRISTIANS TELL US WILL APPEAR SOME...

CHRISTIAN LITERALISTS TELL YOU TO BELIEVE THE BIBLE -- BUT THEN
They ignore certain parts of it and go on and believe what they want to believe even if certain parts of the Bible say differently. In the First Chapter of Revelation, for example, the writer says that he is writing about things that will "shortly come to pass", and I assume that he is talking soon...

HOW CAN YOU SORT FACT FROM METAPHOR IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION?
Actually... Let's look at it this way: Revelation is metaphor. Totally. Every aspect -- the Four HOrsemen, the Lamb, the Beast that is four beasts (from Daniel) Lion, Bear, ox, leopard. When you start out with metaphor and ened with metaphor, how can you say anything in between is not? It is not....

ANTICHRIST
You will notice that Antichrist is nowhere mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Only "The Beast" is mentioned there; and it is widely accepted that the "Mark of the Beast (666)" refers to the (anagram?) of the Emperor Nero. This, of course, places the events of the Book of Revelation in the period...
