Promote your book and Bookdoggie!

I wasn't all idle yesterday. I rather set about surfing the net to find places where we can promote our self published books. (or those that aren't self published either) I have already told you about authorsden. It's a good place as you can also showcase your articles, short stories etc. Joining is... R&R in the cloud castle

My little castle on the 28th floor is literally in the clouds today. A Miami day of rain, low clouds, grey sky, the occasional thunder and lightening but quite warm. I love it and have decided to have a lazy day today. When I'm finished greeting you all here, I'll go back to lie on my bed, windows... Sign in to see full entry.

Vogue's latest enterprise

I'm in a strange mood. I feel the need to go through all the stories and a novel I have written some time ago, organize them and put them out there, see what happens. Sort of general tidying up, get the past out of the way and start with fresh enterprises and new writing. It's probably because I... Sign in to see full entry.

A souvenir from the Bahamas

What I brought back from Nassau is a book. It's called "How to be a true-true Bahamian" and I bet, when you see the cover and back, you couldn't have resisted either. The book is every bit as hilariuos as the blurb promised. An overview of the Bahamian ways, written by a local lady with a lot of wit... Sign in to see full entry.

Two different pieces of art

On the cruise ship they had a thing about towels. Every night you would find a fresh set of towels folded in a different and very intricate way. It's truly and art and a lot of skill and attnetion went into it. A very nice touch, therefore I wanted to show you doggie. Sorry, piture won't come up.... Sign in to see full entry.

Danish furniture in Tortola

Kabu is right, I couldn't understand why people would want to lie on the beach if there was so much else to see on that cruise. I told you about the amber museum in Tortola and the same structure, which was practically one building on top of the other, linked by steep steps contains waht once was... A time warp in Tortola

Tortola in the BVI has to be one of the most peaceful and laid back islands I have visitied on that cruise. Once you get away from the hustle and bustle of the docks and the herds of accumulated tourists who have been shepherded off their floating holiday hotel by shouting and umbrella touting tour... Who loves butterflies?

We all do, don't we? So. I was delighted to hear that one of the scheduled museum tours was to visit a butterfly farm in St. Thomas. I duly went along and enjoyed the experience. The "farm" is tiny and the butterflies bread there are all imported and illegal on the island outside theri designated... Sign in to see full entry.

Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua

For once I joined the scheduled tour, mostly as a means of transport for going to where I wanted to. As I am interested in history as well as all things nautical, I couldn't miss Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua where the sailships of the time docked for overhaul and repair. The tour, being a tour, of... Sign in to see full entry.

A posing fish and more in Nassau

I'm jumping a bit, because Nassau was the last stop of the trip. As usual, I walked off on my own and took the ferry across to Paradise Island and the Atlantic resort. I had been before, so I knew what I wanted to re-visit and one of the highlights is the huge aquarium and the fish you can watch. I... Sign in to see full entry.
