Chronic pain Anyone up for a Challenge

Are you up for a challenge? How strong are you? How would you rate your endurance? Would you walk a mile in a loved ones shoes to really know what they are feeling? This is a pain endurance challenge. Can you last 24 hours?. Feeling Chronic Pain... It won’t kill you, you just wish you were dead. Pain is our friend when it is the first responder to something gone wrong within our bodies. Pain becomes our enemy when the pain circuits overload and continually fire. This results in a constant, daily... Sign in to see full entry.

The Mighty

I do subscribe to the Mighty. Here was a recent article: I'm a Nurse With Fibromyalgia. Here's What I Wish Frustrated Patients Knew. In summary after being dismissed by a rheumatologist and calle d crazy by a professional mental health family member, she goes on to defend the medical profession and how they are taught and the work load and long shifts they had to work. Sharon Woodruff Edwards · Domestic Goddess/Diva at Retired I am a 66 year old RN BSN since 1975. Looking back I have had fibro... Sign in to see full entry.

On the Line

Fibro myalgia is a syndrome of learning one's boundaries. One step pver the line and you will be down for days or weeks. I haven't been this close to being one step over the line in a while. I fought with a love seat cover this morning, cleaned the bathroom, did laundry, went to Dollar General for cleaning supplies, unpacked a new set of copper cookware because my stainless steel is too heavey for me to lift any more, washed cookware and dishes, and fixed spaghetti for Rick and Snaz. Half way... Sign in to see full entry.

Moving On: A Proud Mom and Grannie

My son, Jax, and Daughter. Fibro has been on back burner for last 7 months due to Blake's panic attac ks. He has indeed been surrounded by family during all this time. I have gone to Blake's day and night whenever he has called. Thank goodness fibro flares have been few even with all this stress. The pain is coming at night and not during the day. Tumeric and Fibrorelief is helping. I have even gone back to work part time as a Care manager doing in home education for high risk patients who have... Sign in to see full entry.

What a Nightmare

Where to begain? Finally got over the pnuemonia and with only one round of antibiotics. However, my son has started having severe panic attacks. He has not been able to work for 3 weeks. He is afraid to be left alone and take care of Jax. He just got out of hospital after having a cardiac workup and he is only 35. I have had to go over to his house at 6:30 every morning to be there when he and Jax wake up. I stay until 9 or 10 then Kavira (Yvette's Mom) comes over to stay the rest of the day.... I have been reading a lot on my Facebook Fibromyalgia Support group this past week. There are posts from all over the world. Almost all these people are in unrelenting pain with all the myriad of symptoms that also go with fibro. Very few have support of family or friends and most of all their physcians. It makes me want to cry if I had any tears left in me to cry. I can't cry. I had to train myself not to cry when I was married to my first husband because of tempomandibular joint (TMJ) pain... Learning to Live Love and Love Life

As one gets older, it is nice to come to the realization that the most important things in life are not material. I am no longer driven to accumulate "stuff". I am now giving away or trashing all the excess that hasn't been used in six months or more. The more I practice unconditional Love and Forgiveness, I am finding that my life is filled with more happiness and peace and harmony and balance. Of course it is so nice that my days are now also filled with sharing laughter and happiness with... Sign in to see full entry.

Til Life do We Part

We come from life to this place of death that we call home. It is our goal to return to life from our first crying breath. This dance of death on the stage of life we play from day to day to the steady beat of our hearts hoping for it all to end and fearing that it will. Deep within our deepest realm is hidden the memory of one. The oneness we left in life to come to this place of aloneness and death. It is the oneness we crave and strife to return until our last full breath. And if lessons... Sign in to see full entry.

Wandering, Wondering

As we wander through this world, we wonder why we are here. Alone we feel, but we are not for we are one with God. On this journey we call life, it is but a mere dream. For in Heaven we really are, sleeping one with All.skye2010 Sign in to see full entry.

The Body is NOT cooperating

I had ran out of Guiafenisen last week and hadn't gotten to the Walmart to get more. I know that it is a foolish thing to do not going to get it as soon as it runs out but I was feeling better so I must be better right. Wrong. It is the catch 22 mental patients get into. If I feel better, I don't need the medicine and taking the medicine means I'm sick. I should have known when I was getting too stiff to get out of bed or raise my arms over my head. Also, when I restart it when I've been off... Sign in to see full entry.
