Combined sign of summer and that I'm old.

I'm not sure if this is a Baltimore phenomena or not but the speaker guys are out again. These are guys who drive around and tell people that they were mistakenly given 2 pair of speakers to deliver instead of 2 speakers. They need to sell the speakers so the warehouse guy doesn't get in trouble. A... Sign in to see full entry.

French Pilots stuck in Atlantic City

It seems 9 French Fighter Planes and a radar plane got stuck in Atlantic City Thursday when bad weather prevented them from returning to their aircraft carrier. Leading one to ask who knew the French had aircraft carriers? The real problem came when one of the pilot's tried to buy fuel but did not... Sign in to see full entry.

What is the world coming to?

Five Buddhist monks were defrocked after getting in a fight with other monks from a competing temple. The one monk carries a knuckle-duster in his bag. So will there be more gang warfare in our future. The Buddhist's against the Crips or the Hell's Angels. I don't think some people are meant for a... Sign in to see full entry.

Doobie Brother now a defense contractor

I'm sure that is a headline you never expected to see. Ex-Steely Dan and Ex-Doobie Brother Jeff "Skunk" Baxter now works in the defense industry. What's more surprising to me is that he was brought into this by Republicans. Any article with Republicans and Doobie's and no arrests in it just seems... Why you need more then spellcheck.

June 3 is Doughnut day at Krispy Kreme. Personally I think every day can be doughnut day but that is just my opinion. I wouldn't write about this but as of this writing there is a minor mistake on the website. Krispy Kreme says "to express our appreciation for you support, we'll give you a free... 3 hospitalized after chasing cheese

Here is a sporting event that seems to be utterly British. People run down a 640 ft hill chasing cheese. This annual event often leads to people being hospitalized with broken bones and others with lesser injuries. Now, I like cheese, but I don't plan on running after it. If it wants to get away... Change of Pace

For those of you still asking why the chicken crossed the road, there still is no answer. But, the ticket the chicken got for jaywalking has been thrown out of court. It's nice to see that the man can't keep a good chicken down. Sign in to see full entry.

One more Obituary

I don't mean to keep writing about the dead but it seems to be happening right now. Thurl Ravenscroft the voice of Tony the Tiger has passed away. He was also the singer of Your a Mean One Mr. Grinch in How the Grinch stole Christmas. If you have been to a Disney theme park you have heard him also.... Sign in to see full entry.

Eddie Albert

Eddie Albert passed away yesterday at the age of 99. Michele at A Small Victory put together a list of her favorite movies of his. I have to say I think his work in Green Acres is underrated. With it off the air for so long I had thought it was just standard 60's fare but recently I saw a few shows.... Sign in to see full entry.

New Defense for Drunk Driving.

The defense for 2 America West pilots accused of being drunk on duty basically is that they could walk and see. Both had blood alcohol levels above.08 which is Florida's legal limit for operating a vehicle. According to the article the two had downed the equivalant of 22 pint glasses of beer. They...
