Thankful for my older children

Tonight our son who lives in China called. It was good to hear his voice. His baby is almost walking. It's starting to warm up there too. I am happy he and his wife and son are doing well. I chatted with Gordon on facebook for a few short sentences and we "texted" our goodnights. I am thankful to have older children who love us and want to keep in touch. There is a song by Mark Harris called Find your Wings. It is so beautiful and it was the song that God gave me for Gordon, before he left home.... Sign in to see full entry.

Gideon's journal

I just deleted my entry so.... Today started with a bad headache. I drank water, took IBU and eventually felt better. I was going to stay home all day, but Greg needed me to go get some things at the hardware store. He was digging under a house, so it was easier for me to get it. Gideon finished his journal and it is awesome. I had another blog, that I was doing for awhile, but I never had time and it felt "lonely" there, so that's why I came here. Random

Yesterday was so busy, I never had time to write last night. I did take a long nap. Then I went to work. After that I went to church to hear a speaker. I missed about 1/2 of it cause I got there late. Basically his message was to Trust God in hard economic times. That is what we are doing, and I am very thankful Greg has been getting some work. 2 days of gloomy skies again and 50 degree F. weather (and windy). I knew the 78 degree weather was too good to be true. I woke up with a bad headache.... Sign in to see full entry.

About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
