BROTHER SEE, BROTHER DO

There was something in the air yesterday. My boys were not even close to being at their best. We were at the zoo and my five year-old saw someone eating Ice Cream. Of course he wanted some. We had not had lunch yet and I was not about to get him any junk food before eating a real meal. So of course... Sign in to see full entry.

HOW TO HANDLE KIDS

For those of you who are easily offended or have no clue as to what a joke is, and basically are unfamiliar with the idea of goofing around and having a laugh, run away, run far, far away. This post is joking around and may give those with no sense of humor a heart attack. I can not be held... Sign in to see full entry.

HE'S TWO NOW

So today is my second's sons second birthday. We had a party for him over the weekend. It went well. A lot of friends and family where there to help us celebrate it all. I barbecued for everyone, including cooking evil vegetables for my wife and the others who have faulty taste buds. So now I have a... Sign in to see full entry.

WE GOT TO SEE ROBOTS

Yesterday after painter go tin, we went with my son and saw Robots. It was enjoyable. Now my five year is very much aware of why he got to see the movie. He knows that it was because he was listening to us and getting dressed when told to. He is now more aware that he will get rewarded for being... Sign in to see full entry.

"BABY HURT, BABY OWEY"

So yesterday I picked up The Incredibles on DVD. On the second disk full of special features they had a short called 'Jak-Jak Attacks'. In it we see the baby Jak-Jak use his powers to put a babysitter to the test (Go check out my post in 'Kooka's Reviews' to see what I thought of the short). At one... Sign in to see full entry.

HE REALLY IS NOT A BABY ANY MORE

Our little guy turns two in just over a week. It seems like this last week he has really started to change. He seems taller and his belly is going down. He is physically less like a baby than he was just a few weeks ago. He also just looks older around the face. He is talking even more, which is... Sign in to see full entry.

WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE ROBOTS

My five year old was really acting up when it was time to get ready for bed. We would ask him straight out what he needed to do if he wanted to see Robots. He would tell us and make it very clear he understood that he needed to listen to us if he wanted to see the movie. Yet he still would allow... Sign in to see full entry.

REWARDS

Right now we are trying real hard to get our five year old to listen and do as we tell him. He has some real rough nights at times. We keep trying different rewards systems that will work for a time. We keep trying to get it into his head that he gets rewarded for god behavior and will miss out on... Sign in to see full entry.

SHOULD KIDS PLAY WITH GUNS?

I did when I was young. I am not aggressive or violent and I have a deep respect for life. My mother and father did when they were young. No violence tendencies there either. My boys do and so far they are showing no signs of being violent or aggressive. I have no problems with the idea of my boys... Sign in to see full entry.

A GREAT WAY TO START THE DAY

I still hear people talk about how they do not like kids and would never have any of their own because it seems too much works and such. Those people just do not understand the true rewards of it all. Every morning on my way out of the house I stop in and kiss both my boys on cheek and tell them I... Sign in to see full entry.
