My friend George Bell died today at 9.15 am GMT He suffered with a long illness of lung cancer brought about by a serious infection. As I’ve watched him over the last few weeks, he got steadily worse to the point of being barely recognisable as the person everyone knew. It was only morphine that kept him going, for the pain, and I think he knew this towards the end. As to the effects on me?
